Who We Are

Taeho grew up in South Korea and the United States, and after marrying his wife, Ayumi, Japan became his third home country.  He tends to think that he has three different worldly identities: his blood is Korean, his mind is American, and his heart is Japanese.  With his wife and daughter, Taeho permanently moved to Japan in May 2021 as a missionary for Japan.  Before deciding to leave for Japan, he worked as an attorney and part-time pastor for three years in Virginia.  In Virginia, God prepared and equipped Taeho for his departure by guiding him to voluntarily surrender his worldly desires and to submit to God’s kingdom and plan.  God also revealed and clarified that Taeho’s vision is in Japan not in Virginia.  Taeho is a pastor and missionary from the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Ayumi is from Aomori, Japan.  By God’s grace, she grew up in a Christian home and Baptist church in Aomori.  She came to know Jesus personally when she was 20 years old.  Ayumi is a trained Japanese as a Foreign Language teacher and is currently studying to be an English teacher in Japan.  She serves in children’s ministry and leads worship.  She is also an excellent Japanese-English interpreter.  She financially, mentally, and spiritually supports Taeho and Yura, their daughter, as a faithful wife and mother.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

Our Vision

Christian mission in Japan started as early as 1549.  Since then, many mission organizations and churches have worked to evangelize and plant new churches in Japan.  However, despite the effort, rural Japan has largely remained unreached, unchurched, and unengaged.  Our vision is to serve communities in rural Japan as a missionary and pastor team, planting new churches and revitalizing existing churches in rural Japan to grow and multiply.
